Dear Mr.Ibrahim, It was a great pleasure meeting you, and enjoying Gamirasu Cave Hotel. As promised, have already sent my review to Tripadvisor, and is already up as advised by Tripadvisor. Needless to say the rating is excellent. I was specially delighted to know that not only had you heard about Yoga, you actually experienced a session, which impressed you deeply. I did tell you I wanted to give you a gift as we were present on the auspicious occasion of your birthday which was celebrated for the first time at the Hotel. It was such a privilege for us to be on the same table. My Guru, The Master, Yogacharya BKS Iyengar is world renowned , and his book Light on Yoga is the " bible" on this subject , and the highest selling yoga book of all time. This and another, BKS Iyengar Yoga ,published by DK Publishers, a coffee table book, are available on Amazon. com and maybe you would like to get it in the future. For the present , I am sending a handbook for the "New Student" , and you could practice and get familiar with the asans , which is the base for the study of yoga. This is available only privately, and I recommend this highly. I loved Turkey, and am forwarding you an article I wrote on my experiences. Maybe someday I may go over and take a session to initiate Yoga , as I learn in the Iyengar School to you,and the lovely people I met at Gamirasu.

Hello, We had a wonderful stay at your lovely hotel. Thank you for upgrading us to such a lovely, spacious and beautiful room. What really made your hotel particularly special for us was your friendly, welcoming staff. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. I wish I could remember everyone's name to thank them personally but they all were wonderful, particularly the chef. Everyone in the reception area and in the restaurant was so nice to us -- we were sad to leave. I hope we can return someday.

Dear Addulah!

what a brilliant holiday, thanks so much for putting it all together, we know that it was probably the standard 3 day tour schedule but you all made it seem as if it had been done personally for us, and having your brother Semi to drive us on the 3 days that we were out and about was great, he is a very good driver. Ramsi & Mustafa were both excellent guides, so interesting & knowledgeable we especially liked the way Mustafa had 'one more surprise' at the end of our long day, which was the visit to Nar Lake this was after Guzelyurt, the linseed oil press & milling stone at Belisirma & the amazing Castle Monastery at Selime, a day already full of surprises. Canan, Hamide & Hilal were always so ready to help in reception with advice and smiles and Fathi was so willing to make our evening meal special when we asked if we could eat outside on the terrace it was no problem. The breakfast buffet was amazing, so varied & so delicious and the cave rooms were brilliant, because until we arrived we couldn't quite imagine what they would be like even though we had the brochure & the website to browse. Our balloon flight on Monday was unbelievable & our pilot was so skilful the way he took the balloon down through 'Love Canyon' we have masses of pictures. All 4 of us loved the rooms but we wished we'd asked for rooms closer together with us in room 13 & our friends in room 27 we were very far apart!! There was one tiny thing that we didn't like so much & that was the modern wooden extension to room 13, for us we would have preferred the room without it & to have had just an open space with maybe a small table & chairs. The room itself was brilliant & the massive bed very comfortable. So, many thanks for our brilliant holiday, we hope to return in a year or so when John (my husband) has his 65th birthday, in May 2012 best wishes

Merahba Hamide and Tolga

Patti, Joel, Jonathan and I want to thank you again fro a most wonderful stay in Cappadocia. Your wonderful personalities made our trip very special. The arrangements Hamide made with Tolga to allow our family to meet and spend time with his was the highlight of our trip. We still talk about your sons, Mustafa & Huseyin “riding “ with Jonathan on the motorcycle, the excellent lunch and being able to meet your wife and parents. You have a wonderful family. And I am still working on the hip movements for my Turkish dancing! Thank you, Hamide for going the extra steps to give us such memorable experiences. We hope that one day we can return your hospitality should you ever come to Vancouver. It would be our pleasure to be your hosts. Teshikir edirim.

Dear Hamide (sorry, I don't know how to write it)

I am sorry I didn't phoned to you from Istanbul, but I would really thank you for all that you have done for us. From the first day everything was perfect at your Hotel. We have enjoyed a lot, the hospitality, the accommodations, the food !!! Just that was worth a 5 star recommendation for you guys. But the Grand Finale of the "forgotten pottery" arriving is Istanbul safe and well, was fantastic !!

Thank you once again for an excellent experience in Cappadocia. And if you ever have someone from Brazil, asking for a recommendation, you can give him my e-mail .

We saw crazy rock formations called "Fairy Chimneys" but let's face it kids, they look like enormous stone willies. The UNESCO heritage site here is the national park that has an ancient monestary, nunnery, hermit cells, churches chapels and other dwellings that supported over 300 people here and all carved out of the soft stone called tufa. Some of these "caves" are over 4,000 or more years old.

We went on more sight seeing and stopped in a local pottery business (yes it's in a CAVE, everyone) were this family has been in business for over 200 years (six generations). There are three types of pottery, all made by hand: The stenciled stuff, the hand painted stuff that follows a "style" and the original hand painted stuff that is all original and unique to this pottery shop. We saw how everything is hand turned on a potter's wheel and then fired in a kiln, Afterwards the pieces are either stencilled and hand painted or all free-hand painted. The free hand stuff is beyond belief. So intricate and complex, I got sore eyes just watching them do it. Some of the product they produce is copies of Hitiite pottery that dates over 3,700 years old. We chose a couple of wine goblets as a souvenier of our trip.

A little more sight seeing and then on to our hotel. Words do not do this place justice. The owner of this place had a vision to buy these old caves and make a hotel from them. Mission effin' accomplished! There is a Byzintine cave church with some painted protraits still on the walls. The dining room is an old Byzintine home. All the rooms are unique. Some are larger than others. Ours is huge with a fire place, couch, a turkish cushion nook, a king sized bed, walk in cave-closet a turkish bath AND a jacuzzi tub you could have a party of four in.

When you guys see the pictures your jaws will hit the floor as ours did! go to www.gamirasu.com/cave-suite.html The top picture is not our room but the three little pictures below that is our room. We had the choice of either room but Jo-Ann wanted the Turkish bath.

WE have had our dinner here and have met the owner. Whaaaaat a great guy. Tomorrow we have a hot air ballon ride (pick up at 6:00 AM) and then touring all day. We will be seeing the natural fortress and the underground city. Whoo hoo! Our flight leaves tomorrow at 8:20 PM and we fly back to Istanbul to connect with our flight to Ephesus. We should be there around midnight.

I was on-line today showing some friends pictures of Gamirasu and telling them about the wonderful time we had there this September. I was one of the 9 American women who stayed with you the beginning of September. We had such a lovely time and still talk about how friendly and helpful everyone at the hotel was to us. I needed a computer cord and although I was willing to pay for it, a staff person gave me his. The food was incredible! The scenery was amazing! Our guide was outstanding and when the manager, the owner, and our guide came to the hotel to have dinner with us and to say goodbye to us, we felt as though we were leaving family. I can hardly wait to return and bring my family. Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality. The rest of our trip was amazing and we kept thinking of our time at Gamirasu.
And yes, we FINALLY learned to say "thank you" in Turkish!

Summer Holiday in Cappadocia. We had a really enjoyable and relaxing holiday in a wonderful hotel located in the centre of one of the most interesting regions in Turkey. Our visit was made truly memorable because of the exceptional hospitality, consideration and kindness of Ibrahim and his staff. Hammide as the young women responsible for guests' comfort was truly exceptional but all of the staff were genuinely committed to ensuring all visitors had a memorable stay.
Gamirasu should be very proud of deservedly excellent reputation.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all at the Gamirasu Cave Hotel.
I made my visit to Tripadvisor.com today to add my review of your amazing hotel so that others can read, book, and enjoy all that we did while staying with you in
September 2008. Thanks to Suleyman Cakir for heading us in the right direction when I asked about staying in a Cave hotel. Yours is perfect. We loved the "honeymoon" suite in the Eagle's Nest. It is simply beautiful. I felt as though I was in a fairy tale while enjoying our stay.

Your staff is exceptional, the food, out of this world, and the setting magical. I want all to know about your unigue hotel so will write a review for Frommers as well.

Perfect, perfect, perfect............

Hi Baris
Just a short note to thank you for your wonderful hospitality and for making us feel so very welcome and at home during our recent visit. We absolutely loved your very special hotel and the experience of staying amongst villagers going about their daily lives - the sounds of the nightingales - the animals - we could go on for quite some time! We managed to buy a folk music CD with the Sez and might very well wear it out as we have played it many times during the last two days we have been home.
We wish you and your family all the very best for the future and every continued success with the hotel. As soon as we know when the article will be up and running we will let you know. In the meantime, very many thanks for making our time with you so memorable and special.
Best wishes

We recently stayed at your hotel about a week ago. We had traveled from USA to Budapest to Istanbul to Cappadocia to Bucharest and surrounding Romanian villages, and I am astounded at the wonderful service that you provided to us. As soon as we entered reception, we were treated like royalty. We were upgraded to the stable room and I think that this is the most beautiful room I have ever been in. I truly felt like a princess. And your food! Oh my, it was wonderful. I wanted to bring the chef home with me. Our tour guide Birsen was wonderful. She informed us and shared so much with us that I truly felt special. In my book, Gamirasu Cave Hotel is the best place I have ever stayed and the best food I have ever eaten. If I ever get the chance to visit again I will definately stay there.
You truly are a gem all the way around. Rooms, food, staff, location, gets a superior report from me.
Thank you for making a memory wonderful

Dear Silver and the staff of the Gamirasu Hotel,
I’d like to give you my heartfelt thanks for a very special stay at your hotel last month – I was on the American tour led by Cynthia. I just loved staying in the beautiful cave room and all the food was delicious. Your staff was helpful and friendly. Thanks especially for the cooking lessons. I have found a market here at home that sells some Middle Eastern food and look forward to making boureg and dolma soon. I hope the chef is fully recovered from the lentil incident.
Please also convey my very special thank you to Tolga, who took us to meet his family in the village one evening. Visiting with them was the highlight of my trip to Turkey – I will always remember their warmth and hospitality. I am inspired to pass along that sense of generosity to everyone I meet. I know I will be back someday. Turkey is a very special place, and I will definitely stay in your hotel again. Thank you so very much for a wonderful experience.
